The Post I Didn’t Plan! ~STEAMPUNK
Hello everyone.
So I had it in my mind that I would draft up this wonderful welcome post for a first-time blog, announcing my photography website. But as the situation has it I’ve been so busy at work (shooting of course) I had no time to figure out any workflow what so ever. Impressive, huh?? BUT the hell with it. If I wait for perfection it will be time to retire before I get anything done, so let’s just shoot for a path to excellence. Yeah, I like that story.
You may have heard me mention along the way that from the get-go I wanted my photography work to tell peoples’ stories. Sure I discover great things along the way that I will be happy to share, but I love to connect with people so what better way than to capture peoples’ moments?
This past weekend in Boonton, NJ there was a three-day Steampunk event. My friend, David Scott Leibowitz master-minded this wonderful experience including everything from live performances, to art classes and wardrobe lessons, to scavenger hunts, and he asked me to spend some time to walk around, hang out, and photograph anything of interest. Of course I agreed.
Along the way I met many people who in turn asked for my card after a photo was taken. You may be one of them and if you are, I thank you for looking this up. I’ve made all of my photos available for free digital download. They are yours to have, enjoy, share, and keep. You may find them by visiting the Client Chambers on my site and typing in SteampunkBoonton2016 or by using the link http://davidnelsonphotography.zenfolio.com/steampunkboonton2016
I’m excited to get going with blog material. I have no idea how far it will go or change in appearance but no matter what I will love sharing what happens.
Focused on you,
~Dave
Nice shots! Was nice meeting you and all the other creative, friendly people who turned out.
Well I do appreciate that. I’m glad to have been part of the action, too. Boonton always did have wonderful qualities but there is a special vibe as of late. It’s terrific you guys made it out.
nice work…
Thank you very much, Tom. Keep great things happening in The Darress.
